I found these guys because I was looking to buy a used Toyota from the Servco Toyota dealer down the street in Mapunapuna. The mileage on the Toyota was high, but I was willing to pay the price for it because it was a V6 XSE trim Camry. The dealer insisted that they did a "multi point inspection" to make sure the car they're selling is in good shape but I wanted to get an auto mechanic that absolutely knew what they were doing to check it out. JDM Hawaii (who also does business as Sky Auto Repair) was actually mentioned to be my Gemini AI of all things when I stated I needed a reliable mechanic to go to to do a pre-purchase inspection. I called on Friday and John, the service manager squeezed me in for Saturday. Service was excellent. They were short staffed so they had to run a lean shift so there was a small wait, but nothing major. I had to hang out at the mechanic as the Servco salesperson that went with me said he is required to wait there while the mechanic shop checks it out, and after about an hour or so, they came back to me with a clean bill of health for the car. Thanks to these guys, I'm going to have a great peace of mind buying the Camry. Obviously they are a JDM-focused shop for car enthusiasts, but if you're just an outside driver who just needs a Japanese vehicle checked out, these are the people to go to.
